Julie "Osaka Jay" Williams is a proud native of Jacksonville, Florida. She is an alumna of both Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and Jacksonville Centre of the Arts. Julie continued her studies at New World School of the Arts, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree on a full scholarship.
Her professional experience spans an impressive range of the dance industry. She has worked as a principal dancer in J. Dash’s WOP and STRUT music videos and has performed with the Freddick Bratcher Dance Company. Julie has also served as an entertainer at Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan, as well as in productions for California’s Fun Next to None, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Disney Performing Arts. She was a principal dancer with CooperMorgan Dance Company and has also expanded into fitness modeling, representing seven-time Olympian Shannon Miller’s fitness line.
Julie holds a certification in Horton Pedagogy from The Ailey School. She is the founder of both JuJuSkin Beauty and RareBreed Dance Collective. Currently, she serves as the Director of Creative Dance Ensemble at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and as a Dance Adjunct at The Florida Ballet.
Julie is thrilled to bring her artistry and passion to Mixolydian as the show’s host.
